Sunscreen – Mechanical COC and replace control system

FSD Solutions was contracted, during 2019, to do a mechanical inspection/service and replace the electronic control system on the Sunscreen at one of our prestigious clients in Midrand.

The scope of work was as follow:-

• Do complete mechanical inspection, incorporating non-destructive testing, on the complete sunscreen to ensure mechanical integrity of the system and issue a mechanical COC.
• Inspect and do complete service on the 2 drive trains, inclusive of repacking bearings, cleaning and lubricating drive chains and doing alignment.
• Replace existing, faulty, electronic control system with complete new system, inclusive of wind meter, as part of safety control system.
• Commission system and hand over fully functional system to client

Project was completed within budget and on time.
